Re-watchable tv shows
I’ve found myself re-watching all my favorite TV shows lately. From Arrested Development, to News Radio, I seem to just watch my favorites over and over again. I still laugh, no matter what, but it makes me realize I really don’t like tv these days.
No offense, but Big Bang Theory is one of the most un-funny show I’ve ever seen, almost on par with Two and a Half Men and How I Met Your Mother. I almost never laugh to any of those shows, and often question the intelligence of people who do (but not you, you’re special to me).
So, the question is, which tv show can you watch over and over, know all the lines and plots, and STILL laugh at the same parts no matter what?
Unappreciated Bands
I hate when bands I love don’t get the respect they deserve. I WANT them to make money, so they can continue to make music, and you should too! These guys gotta pay some bills!
So, I’m curious. I want to know what you think are the biggest unappreciated bands. It can be anything, doesn’t really matter.
For me, without a doubt, alexisonfire. You may say, “HEY! I saw them on Warped Tour and their videos have over 1mil views!”. They’re still not quite where they should be.
The way they have been able to meld and mix George and Dallas’s vocals, the sometimes brutal breakdowns with amazing skillfully music selections, and the way they’ve evolved over a long period of time, well, it just doesn’t get much better for me.
I might even say “This Could Be Anywhere In The World” might be the must unappreciated song of all time. Contextually, that song gives me chills to this day.
So, what’s yours?
All Time Top 5 songs you would start a radio station with!
So, you’re starting radio station! Congrats! Welcome to a world of fun and extreme pain. BUT, you have to have a first song. Your first song needs to be the one that defines you, tells people who you are. It’s your first impression, and it needs to be damn good.
SO! What’s your All Time Top 5 First Songs?
Mine are as follows:
5. A Day To Remember “All I Want”. I’m going to start with something pretty new, and the whole message of it is dead on to what I want my radio station to be like. Plus, it’s an effing hit and that always helps.
4. All Time Low “Weightless”. WAY fun song, you can get excited about it, plus it makes you sound like you’ve been down and you’re going to have an amazing year.
3. Atreyu “Doomsday”. GREAT guitar intro, plus you can talk up the start of the song and it takes about the end of the world, for everyone else. Get it? Yep, I’m that clever.
2. Jimmy Eat World “Sweetness”. Besides being one of my favorite songs ever off of one of my favorite albums ever from one of my favorite bands ever, it’s freaking perfect. It opens with just vocals, and the line is “Are you listening?” and then kicks you in the guts with a guitar riff. It makes you sing along, BUT the only reason it’s my #2 is because you’d need an intro, like a countdown or something.
1. Fall Out Boy “Thriller”. Listen, this is an obvious choice. It might be the ONLY choice. It has Jay-Z opening up an album, talking about how they’re mashing the critics. Plus, it’s Fall Out Boy, and I’m not anything if not an opportunist.
so….im in class today at noon and i see all these tweets telling everyone to call into FOE Radio, a station i’ve been listening to since it first started. i’m thinking…ok..what’s going on? i check their @replies and apparently today was their last show. i’m not sure if it’s a permanent thing or…
